Mosta Rotunda
The Sanctuary Basilica of the Assumption of Our Lady
The Mosta Dome, is a Roman Catholic parish church and basilica in Mosta, Malta, dedicated to the Assumption of Mary. It was built between 1833 and the 1860s to neoclassical designs of Giorgio Grognet de Vassé, on the site of an earlier Renaissance church which had been built around 1614 to designs of Tommaso Dingli.
The design of the present church is based on the Pantheon in Rome, has the third-largest unsupported dome in the world, and is Malta's largest and most famous church. The church narrowly avoided destruction during World War II when on 9 April 1942 a German aerial bomb pierced the dome and fell into the church during Mass, but failed to explode. This event was interpreted by the Maltese as a miracle.
In 2015, the parish requested to the Vatican to be reclassified to the status of a basilica. The church was elevated to a minor basilica on 29 July 2018 by decree of Pope Francis.

Mdina
Mdina also known by its Italian epithets Città Vecchia ("Old City")
Mdina is a fortified city in the Northern Region of Malta which served as the island's capital from antiquity to the medieval period. The city is still confined within its walls, and has a population of 250, but it is contiguous with the town of Rabat, which takes its name from the Arabic word for suburb, and has a population of over 11,000.
The name of the city derives from the Arabic word madīnah, meaning "town" or "city". The name Melite or Melita, associated with the former ancient settlement on the same site, has survived as the name of the island.
The city was founded as Maleth by the Phoenicians in around the 8th century BC, and it later became part of the Roman Empire under the name Melite. The ancient city was surrounded by walls, but very few remains of these have survived.
Dingli Cliffs
Dingli cliffs are located on Malta’s western coast just off the picturesque village of Dingli.
Rock-cut tombs dating back to Phoenician, Carthaginian and Roman times have been found in the limits of Dingli. Roman baths and other remains were also found at Għajn Handful and the area of Ta' Baldu.
The cliffs are known by locals for being the place where the sky and sea meet as it’s the highest point on the Maltese Islands. It offers stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea, the petite terraced fields, and the tiny uninhabited island named Filfla.
Walking along the cliffs you will notice a gorgeous little chapel, dedicated to St.Mary Magdalene that is located on the cliff's edge. If you hike long enough you will come across another breathtaking spot, the Blue Grotto. Experiencing the sunset against the blue sea is magical.

In Maltese, the word 'ghar' means cave, and 'lapsi' means ascension. Therefore, Ghar Lapsi in English is 'Ascension Cave'.
There are many underwater caves in the area which makes Ghar Lapsi very popular with SCUBA divers. With plenty of shallower places of interest it is also popular with snorkellers & beginner divers.
Ħaġar Qim
Ħaġar Qim is a megalithic temple complex found on the Mediterranean island of Malta, dating from the Ġgantija phase (3600–3200 BC)
Ħaġar Qim, over 5000 years old, is found at the top of a promontory with a fertile plain to its east and garrigue sloping down to the sea to the west. 500m downhill from Ħaġar Qim one finds Mnajdra, a contemporary building, probably used by the same community given its proximity.
The main building of Ħaġar Qim is unusual with features and doorways along its external wall. The floor of the central passage inside the building is paved in stone slabs while the floors in the chambers branching off this passage are made from beaten earth.
The temple builders used locally available stone of which they had a thorough knowledge. They used hard coralline limestone for external walls and the softer globigerina limestone for the more sheltered interiors and decorated elements.
